About the Department

The department of Electronics was established in the year 2004. Since its inception, the department is sincerely engaged in catering the students in higher education for their all around development. Teachers of this department are highly qualified and experienced. They are hard worker and sincerely dedicated to serve students. They are active researcher in the fields like Material science, Optoelectronics, Microwave Engineering, and Semiconductor Devices. Teachers are highly motivated and continuing their research in advance level. Technical and non teaching staffs are also generous to serve students

The department offers two courses, M.Sc. in Electronics with the capacity of 30 seats and Ph.D. in Electronics. The syllabus which complies with Choice Bases Credit Systems (CBCS) has been framed along with the content of modern technological aspects in Electronics and is regularly updated. It contains subjects like Material Science, Device, Optoelectronics, VLSI engineering, Microwave engineering. The syllabus also complies with the all India competitive examinations like NET, GATE, and SLET etc. The Students get on hand exposure in technologically modern laboratories like Signal processing lab, Microprocessor lab, Communication lab, VLSI lab, and Digital lab and Circuit Design lab. The last semester students are also offered either for industrial training or research project. Teachers take regular classes for master’s students. Special classes or remedial classes are arranged for the weaker students. Coaching classes are also arranged for NET/SET of GATE examination. They take classes in the smart class room regularly and use it’s aids.

Thrust Areas:
The thrust area of the department is its research and teaching. The faculties are actively engaged in advance level research in Material science, Optoelectronics, Microwave Engineering, Semiconductor Devices, and Solar photo voltaic cells. They also deliver lecturers in class regularly.
