Biographical Sketch
Dr Nirmal Kumar Mahato is Associate Professor in History and Deputy Director, Centre for Environmental Studies, Vidyasagar University Midnapore, W.B., India. He was awarded the Charles Wallace Fellowship, 2019, UK. He is also a member of Mahanirban Calcutta Research Group, Kolkata. His recently published book is ‘Sorrow Songs of Woods: Adivasi- Nature Relationship in the Anthropocene in Manbhum', CWEH, 2020, www.sussex.ac.uk › cweh › publications( Primus, New Delhi). His research papers have been appeared in leading journals like Global Environment published from White Horse Press, UK and Third World Quarterly(Taylor & Francis Journal). Presently, he is working on research collaboration project with Nottingham Trent University on Ecological Labour. He is a co-author of a book 'Dignified Lives: Ecological Labour in Just Transition'
