Aim of the Centre :

The Centre for Continuing and Adult Education (CCAE) under Vidyasagar University has been established to offer different certificate, diploma and degree courses for the working professional, students and others in view to widening their knowledge and skills and to make them eligible for competitive job market. The learning domain includes courses for non-traditional students, non-degree career training, workforce training and formal personal enrichment courses. The courses under CCAE are making education relevant to real life situations and are also preventing the alienation of the educated from society.

All the Courses offered by CCAE are open to all but specially for working personnel of Bank/ Government /NGO/Media Houses, Teachers and Students of different levels in different institutions.

Centre for Continuing and Adult Education (CCAE), Vidyasagar University, welcomes Indian as well as international students to study and to attend different job-oriented, cutting-edge courses at Vidyasagar University campus. CCAE reflects the university’s vision and commitment to provide quality education without geographical boundaries, enhancing the diversity of its student community and building strategic partnerships in the country and also around the world. Reputed institutions/organizations are also being encouraged to run different Diploma/Certificate courses at their respective centres after prior approval and compliance of academic requirements of CCAE, VU.

PG Evening Courses:

Regular 2 Years (4 Semesters) evening PG courses in the following Subjects are going under CCAE. Admissions are strictly on the number of approved seats and “FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis. No marks bar. Classes are regularly held from Monday to Friday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on Saturday from 11:00am to 8:00pm except Sunday and other holidays. Candidates having a 3 year Honors degree in the concerned or allied subjects are eligible for admission to evening PG courses.

Students are provided with Study materials, Library facility, Transport facility, Medical facility, Placement assistance etc.

Certificate and Diploma Courses:

Different Certificate and Diploma courses from 1 week to 1 year duration are going on under CCAE from the Session 2018. Different departments of the university or any reputed organizations/institute from outside are offering the value added, job oriented courses regularly. The courses are mainly outcome based, job oriented and to meet social needs of the community. Few courses like “Epidemiology and Public Health”, “Wildlife Management”, “Practical Librarianship” , “Apiculture and Mushroom Cultivation” etc are popular amongst them.
