Dr. Tanushree Mitra Basu is presently working as an Assistant Professor at the department of Applied Mathematics in the Centre for Distance and Online Education (C.D.O.E.), Vidyasagar University. Earlier, she was associated with Midnapore City College as an Assistant Professor. She has done her graduation, post-graduation, and B.Ed. from Visva-Bharati University in the years 2003, 2005, and 2006, respectively. She completed her Ph.D. from Vidyasagar University in the year 2013. She has numerous publications in various renowned journals. She is especially interested in uncertainty modelling and decision science. Her research spans fuzzy mathematics, soft set theory, intuitionistic fuzzy, linguistic models, n-polygonal fuzzy, generalized n-polygonal fuzzy, and neutrosophic environments, with applications in multi-criteria decision-making, medical science, risk analysis, precision agriculture, and real-world selection problems.

Dr. Tanushree Mitra Basu is an academician and researcher in the field of Applied Mathematics, with a strong interest in interdisciplinary research. Her academic work reflects a deep commitment to both theoretical foundations and real-world applications of mathematics. Her principal research area is uncertainty modelling in decision sciences. Her research interests include fuzzy mathematics, soft set theory, intuitionistic fuzzy sets, linguistic models, n-polygonal and generalized n-polygonal fuzzy sets, neutrosophic theory, aggregation and ranking methods, and multi-criteria decision-making. She is particularly interested in developing mathematically sound and practically applicable decision-support models for medical science, risk assessment, precision agriculture, and other real-world selection and evaluation problems.
